Some bees like Bumblebees and Honeybees have pollen sacs. Pretty convenient always having a pouch to carry your stuff.
Other bees like mason bees and Leafcutter bees don’t. But the pollen sticks to them as the go from flower to flower. Bees are fuzzy. Can you image getting loaded down with pollen covering every inch of your body, even the eyes? It would drive me nuts.
But you have to admit flying from flower to flower all day is not such a bad job.
Some bees are incredibly small, yet the job is the same. Below, the bee is small enough to feed on the ⅛” flower of Calamintha. Bees are specialized in many cases, just suited for the flowers on which they feed.
Now for a big bee… Goodbye for now.
