Fly Me Away

Bobolink

Bobolink

Did you ever just sit and wonder what to do next? Try to make up your mind to do something, anything? If sitting in a pretty place, doing nothing seems like the right thing to do, chill and take it all in. Or maybe that is the lazy bird excuse. Look all around, maybe something interesting is happening.

A little incentive … that snail on the next post over. You gotta give it to him, that was one long journey to be on the top of the world. Or that dragonfly basking in the sun.

But you might think if you change your view it just might lead to something better? We always want better right?

Sometimes all it takes is to get up off the fence post and just get going. Sitting still for too long and we might miss an opportunity.

Off we go. Flying can be exerting, at least more than sitting on that comfortable fence post.

Oh look. A juicy insect

Fast food for a busy bird on the run, a dip, a grab, and onward we go.

Why?

We  just might join a crowd going somewhere fun.

That’s it. I have to try flying:)

  9. Seems to me you’ve captured birds mirroring human behavior…or are we the ones doing the mirroring?
BTW- I tagged you for a 3 day/3 quote challenge…hopefully you’ll accept. Your photos inspire such a pairing with ease, I’d love to see what you can come up with. (deets on my latest posting)

  10. Another great bird with fabulous shots….and a great lesson along the way!
